YOUTH CENTRES

Youth Centres provide centre based after school activities for school age children in Walgett, Collarenebri and LIghtning Ridge.

Activities include:

• Arts and Crafts
• Sports
• Culture
• Music

VACATION CARE PROGRAMS

Vacation Care programs offer centre based care for children from 5 -12 years old, during school holidays only.

Activities Include:

• Arts and Crafts
• Music, DVD/Video's
• Excursions
• Sports

Vacation Care programs operate for 2 weeks during all school holidays with the exception of Grawin who do not operate in the December/January Holidays.

Walgett Shire Council's Youth Services work in partnership with the Department of Sport and Recreation to provide ongoing sporting training and activities. Walgett Shire Council is also working with Police Youth Citizens Club (PCYC), to provide fornightly activities for the youth of Walgett.
