Burren Junction Bore Baths UpgradeLast modified: June 3, 2009 - 9:59 AM
Burren Junction Hot Water Bore Baths has re-opened for public use. A pool access staircase has been installed for the use of patrons with restricted mobility. The average surface temperature of the main pool ranges between 35 and 40 degrees celcius depending on weather conditions and daily temperatures. The childrens pool averages two degrees celcius lower than the main pool. Although the average pool temperature is slightly lower than before the upgrade works, enquiries to pool users have indicated that patrons are able to safely soak in the pool for longer periods and are generally satisfied with the facility. Council would like to express thanks to Mr Pearce of Narromine for the donation of the new trees planted along the edge of the evaporation pond, and the volunteers from the community of users and the Burren Pool Committee for the tree guards and planting of the trees. Patrons are reminded that all previous rules of use of the facility apply. Click here to see the rules of use for Burren Bore Baths Contact details | |||||||||||||||
