IBC Gem Gardens - Lightning Ridge

Last modified: October 8, 2008 - 1:53 PM

Why not stretch your legs after a long drive at the IBC Gem Gardens that are conveniently located next door to the Lightning Ridge Visitor Information Centre. Admire the cultural mural and see the plants that can survive and flourish in our harsh conditions, which are watered by the Great Artesian Basin. The Improvement Beautification Committee are busy developing their bush medicine and bush tucker section of the garden which will highlight the local Yawallaraay people and how they survuved in the area.

Located at Lions Park, Bill O'Brien Way, Lightning Ridge.

Entry is FREE

The Gardens are open 24 hours/day 7 days/week.
