PUBLIC SUBMISSIONS INVITED ON PROPOSED WATER FEES AND CHARGES

During the Ordinary Meeting held on the 23rd of July 2024, Council made a resolution concerning the bore water supply to Bowra on Assessment 22434, 398 Bowra Lane, Walgett.

The resolution, numbered 09C/2024/25, includes the following amendments:
1. The proposed charge of 28.5 cents per kiloliter will be applied to assessment number 22434.
2. A 28-day public notice period will be given for the proposed 28.5 cents charge.
3. The revised rate of 28.5 cents will not apply to intensive livestock activities. As per the Local Government Act Section 409 (6) the next step involves putting the proposed pricing out to the public for a period of 28 days.

The public are invited to comment on the proposed fees and charges until Monday, October 7, 2024.

Following the public exhibition period, the Council will review and consider all public submissions before adopting the final rate.
