All water used for drinking, brushing teeth, making ice, and washing fruit and vegetables must be boiled before use. Bring the water to a rolling boil and allow it to cool prior to use.

Come By Chance Road

Sealing of the Come By Chance Road

Cryon Road, Rowena - Sealing/Resealing

Reconstruction and sealing of 6.6kms of road

Jenny Wright Netball Courts Walgett

Upgrades to the netball courts will include new LED lighting towers and a modern amenities block. The surrounding area will be landscaped, with accessible seating installed for spectators.

Announcement : The new toilet facility work will start at the end of September and is expected to be completed by the end of October. The official opening ceremony of the facility is TBC.

Walgett Animal Facility

Under the NSW Severe Weather & Flood Grant (AGRN1025), a new pound will be constructed at the Walgett Animal Facility on Bate Street.

Walgett Pool Redevelopment

Walgett Shire Council has secured $250,000 from the NSW Government to begin planning and design for the much-needed redevelopment of the Walgett Memorial Swimming Pool.

Announcement : Community Consultations Sessions on Monday 8th September at 1pm & 5.30pm - Walgett Council Chambers - Bring your ideas!!

Wee Waa Street Footpath Replacement

Work is underway on the footpath replacement along Wee Waa Street, proudly funded through the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Phase 4 program.
