Pay Your Rates

You can pay your rates, water and debtor accounts at Council's Customer Service Centre located at 77 Fox Street, Walgett.

Council's Customer Service is open from 8.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

To pay by EFTPOS, please call 02 6828 1399 during office hours. Bankcard, Mastercard and Visa are accepted. Follow the prompts and enter your Biller Code and Customer Reference.

Payments can also be made in person, at council using the credit card options above.

If you want to pay by mail, simply remove the notice tear-off slip and post your 'not negotiable' cheque to:

If you require a receipt, please mark the box in the top right of the notice tear-off slip. Once your payment has been processed, a receipt will be posted to you.

To use BPay, contact your participating bank, credit union or building society and make your payment directly from your cheque, savings, or credit account. Make sure you quote the Biller Code 626069 plus the Customer Reference Number shown on the front of your rates notice (located at the bottom left side).

• in person at your nearest Australia Post Office
• by phone on 13 18 16
• via the Australia Post Billpay website

Centrepay is a voluntary bill-paying service which is free for Centrelink customers. Use Centrepay to arrange regular deductions from your Centrelink payment. You can start or change a deduction at any time. The quickest way to do this is through your Centrelink account online.
