Booking a Council Venue

All enquiries relating to booking a Council venue or facility should be directed to the Walgett Shire Council’s Administration Desk. This will allow hirers to check if the venue is available to be booked.

For venues managed by Council, an application form must be completed and returned to the Service Centre no later than five working days prior to the event to ensure confirmation can be given. Hire fees must be paid in advance.

Please note you will also need to provide Certificate of Currency for Public Liability and a COVID Safety Plan: Get a COVID Safety Plan

Hire fees and charges

The fees and charges costs depend upon the duration of hire, facilities and equipment used and the nature of the event.

To obtain hire costs, it is recommended hirers discuss their requirements with Council’s Bookings Office staff located at the Walgett Shire Council 77 Fox St Walgett NSW 2832, or by phoning 02 6828 6100, and ask to speak to the Bookings Officer.
