21 Jul CEF Walgett Education Grant
CEF Walgett is a community-based organisation that provides financial assistance to local school leavers as they embark on apprenticeships, TAFE, universities and other courses. In 2021 we proudly supported 31 young local people, not only financially but also offering a wealth of resources from our deep understanding of the tertiary education sector and our history of assisting many students in similar situations.
We invite applications for 2022 grants from young people in the district (and Goodooga) who are pursuing tertiary education, and are:
– in financial and/or circumstantial need
– between 16 and 25 and leaving or left school
– live in and/or go to school in the district
– are willing to complete their chosen course.
*grants are not academically based
Applications are open 12th July to 31st October 2021 on this link: https://cef.org.au/foundations/walgett
Enquiries to firstname.lastname@example.org or phoning Anna Wilson on 0448 443 928.
We would really appreciate you passing on this information to any young ones amongst your family and friends who could be eligible. Please note we do not give cash grants, we reimburse or pay educational expenses based on invoices.
Local CEFs are completely supported through donations sourced largely from the communities they serve. All donations are tax deductible and go directly to the students to help pay for textbooks, tools, a new computer or help with accommodation etc. Any support from your organisation would be greatly appreciated.
