Walgett Shire TRIAGE 2020
Have you ever said to yourself ‘they should just do xxxx and the problem would be solved’?
And have you then got frustrated that it didn’t happen – but you felt powerless to make it happen on your own?
Well, you are in luck – Walgett Shire Council would like to invite you to join a FREE Online Event called TRIAGE 2020 – that will help you finally do something about it!
If you have great ideas for local issues that you would love to see happen or you are craving connection to enthusiastic and motivated people and would like to learn new skills that will help you pitch and sell ideas, then you are being encouraged to register today!
The event is hosted by a national business called Bowabirds but has a very local focus.
Acting General Manager Michael Urquhart from Walgett Shire Council said they were excited to make this event available to the people of Walgett Shire and said this event would be a great catalyst for new ideas and new collaborations in the area.
“Everyone is welcome to join us,” Mr Urquhart said.
“The drought, floods, fires and now COVID-19 has put real pressure on our communities and created new issues and compounded others. This event is a great opportunity for us to support the community to come up with their own solutions and learn the best strategies to turn them into projects that could be implemented.
“Not only will you connect with like-minded locals and have a fun day learning and sharing – but you’ll also meet with people from other rural communities in Australia and share ideas and inspiration!
TRIAGE 2020 will be hosted on 4th/5th June and will see groups of people from rural communities in different parts of Australia gather together to identify their key local issues and be supported to create great ideas to solve them – and then develop a plan and pitch.
On the evening of the 5th June 7pm all groups will then Pitch their idea to a national audience (Online) and you never know – some of them may be picked up and implemented!
“We are excited about the possibilities of what will come from TRIAGE 2020 for Walgett Shire and the new projects we can get behind!: Mr Urquhart said”.
