Construction of the New Animal Management Facility - Bate Street Walgett (Closing Date 19 December 2025 at 10pm)

Walgett Shire Council is seeking tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced contractors for the construction and completion of a new animal management facility at Bate Street Walgett.
The new animal management facility will accommodate thirteen (13) kennels, a cattery area, a unisex disabled amenity ensuite, an entry office with kitchenette, food preparation room, pet care room, an enclosed shipping container, alfresco area and dog run as specified in plans, drawings and designs.
The building will be constructed from Colourbond metal cladding with a metal frame on a concrete slab, with the walls of the dog kennels being constructed from reinforced concrete panels, or preconstructed cages (further confirmation forthcoming). A cyclone fenced dog exercise yard will be included with security fencing to surround the entire facility.

Construction of Lightning Ridge Bore Pipeline and Pump Station Upgrade (Closing 9 February 2026) -

Walgett Shire Council (the Principal) is seeking tenders from appropriately qualified and experienced organisations for the Construction of Lightning Ridge Bore Pipeline and Pump Station Upgrade.
The project involves constructing a new 5.2 km parallel rising main between Bore #1 and Bore #2 to address frequent pipe failures caused by recent flood events, and upgrading the ageing booster pump station at Bore #1, which is nearing the end of its service life.
