Draft Investment Policy

At its Ordinary Meeting on 26 August 2025, Walgett Shire Council resolved to place the Draft Investment Policy(PDF, 251KB) on public exhibition.

Council now invites community members to view the draft policy and provide feedback.

The draft policy will be on exhibition for 21 days, from Thursday 28 August 2025 until 5:00pm Wednesday 17 September 2025.

Hard copies are also available for viewing at the following locations:

  • Walgett – Council Office, 77 Fox Street
  • Lightning Ridge – Council Office, 35 Pandora Street
  • Collarenebri – Council Agency, 37–39 Wilson Street

Council encourages the community to review the draft policy and provide written submissions on any matters they wish to raise.

Submissions must be received by 5.00pm, Wednesday 17 September 2025, and should be addressed to the General Manager. Submissions may be lodged by:
