Collarenebri Water Supply Update:

Walgett Shire Council wishes to advise residents of Collarenebri that in response to increased turbidity levels in the river water impacting the capabilities of the Council's water treatment plant, Council has implemented a temporary transition to bore water.

Residents are advised of the ongoing shandying process, where bore water is blended with the existing supply. While this may result in a temporary change in taste, it is a necessary measure to maintain water quality standards.

Council is actively monitoring the situation and will provide updates when there is a return to river water.
