Council is treating this matter seriously and is undertaking a formal assessment in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) and the guidelines issued by the NSW Privacy Commissioner.
All ratepayers identified as being impacted have been contacted directly by email. Correct rate notices are being reissued as soon as possible.
We will also be setting up a dedicated task team on Monday to follow up with any enquiries or calls received today.
We thank the community for their patience and understanding as we continue to work with the provider to assess the incident and minimise any further impact.
